Here’s a little bit about about them:

Christine Wang

Christine Wang is an MBA candidate at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. Christine brings 5 years of finance and investing experience from Advent International, a global private equity firm, and J.P. Morgan to Kuli Kuli. A lifelong foodie, Christine is excited to work with Kuli Kuli at the intersection of social purpose, sustainable development, and great-tasting, nutritious food.

Drew Thomas HeadshotDrew Thomas is currently studying Nutritional Science at The University of Minnesota. Last summer, Drew traveled to Rwanda, The DRC, and Burundi with World Relief and witnessed several different development programs involving health, nutrition, business, and peacekeeping. This trip sparked Drew’s interest in sustainable development in Africa, and a huge reason why, he decided to join the Kuli Kuli Team.

Carolyn ErvingCarolyn Erving, a Seattle native, is currently studying Environmental Humanities at Whitman College. She heard about Kuli Kuli during a presentation in a politics class and was inspired by the idea of a socially aware business. Carolyn has a passion for social and environmental justice as well as an interest in entrepreneurship. A strong writer and a foodie, Carolyn is excited to be a part of Kuli Kuli this summer.

Kuli Kuli HeadshotSika Gasinu is a New York native and food-lover.  She’s working towards a Masters in Public Health, with a concentration in Public Health Nutrition at UC Berkeley.  Sika is very excited to be working with Kuli Kuli and she is looking forward to a successful and productive summer.

Rebecca Chen

Rebecca Chen is a creative front-end web developer with a passion for design and developing visually appealing web solutions. Having recently transitioned career paths, she also brings a wealth of professional experience in business operations, analytics, and data visualization. She recently completed an engineering internship at a tech startup, where she expanded her skills developing new features in an Ember.js web app.

Megivern BioJames Megivern is an MBA candidate at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and a finance intern at Kraft Foods in Chicago.  Prior to business school, James served as a small business advisor with the Peace Corps in Burkina Faso, West Africa. James brings 5 years of corporate finance experience from Deere & Company and UnitedHealth Group to Kuli Kuli.

julieJulie Ryan brings several years of analytical and creative problem-solving experience from her time as a financial analyst at General Mills and later as an education volunteer with the Peace Corps in Burkina Faso, West Africa. Julie is currently attending Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and is a marketing intern at Mars Chocolate in New Jersey.
