Life’s a picnic this June 18th when we celebrate International Picnic Day.

The picnic was first popularized at the end of the French Revolution and the Victorian Era as a way for people to escape restrictions and formality. Take your al fresco dining to the next level by spreading out a blanket with a feast and friends to enjoy the summer and sunshine.

Here are our favorite #moringainpsired picnic recipes and ideas. Remember to keep it simple so you can spend more time enjoying the great outdoors and don’t forget the napkins.

GREEN DEVILED EGGS

These are some mean and green deviled eggs that are sure to be a smash. To ease transportation, slice a thin part of the bottom of your egg halves off so that the eggs sit flat and won’t roll away, destroying your creation.

BEET SALAD

Nothing says summer better than fresh beets and salad. Mix the two together here in this beet and goat cheese salad with a moringa dressing that will have your taste buds dancing.

MORINGA FALAFEL

Stuffed with protein and spices and pre-rolled into handy little bite-sized pieces, falafel is a great picnic snack to enjoy hot or cold. Try our moringa inspired version here.

BLACK BEANS

Extremely healthy and versatile, there are so many ways to use black beans with moringa for complementary flavor and nutrition. For example, in this black bean and kale bean salad, spicy and vegan black bean burgers, or this avocado and black bean dip.

Moringa Tofu Hummus

MORINGA HUMMUS with VEGGIES

There’s more than one way to make a delicious and healthy hummus that will have your friends raving about it for weeks. Use our poblano pepper hummus recipe or tofu hummus instead of chickpeas for an entirely new twist on this Mediterranean classic.

Dice up some carrots, celery, broccoli, cauliflower, and cucumbers for the healthiest things to use to enjoy your moringa packed hummus.

MORINGA PEANUT SAUCE NOODLES

Cook up some cold noodles. Dice cucumbers, onions, carrots and other vegetables.  Toss it all together with this moringa peanut sauce and you’ve got an easy, cold summer dish that can be enjoyed inside or outdoors.

Moringa Iced Tea

ICED MORINGA TEA

You can’t forget a cool and refreshing beverage to complete your outdoors, summer dining experience.  Use moringa tea as a way to get a whole lot of nutrition and flavor into your life in the coolest way possible.  Try this version with lemon and basil or maybe some fresh summer berries.

Share with us your #moringainspired picnic recipes and ideas when you take your healthy eating outside this International Picnic Day.
